Who this program is for
This program is built for adults who are serious about starting a skilled trades career. If you can commit to showing up, doing the work, and finishing — this program was designed for you.
The program starts from the ground up. You do not need any prior HVAC knowledge, trade experience, or background in construction. We teach everything from fundamentals through advanced technical skills.
Many people who enroll are leaving retail, food service, warehouse, or other jobs looking for a career with better wages and longer-term stability. Prior work experience in any field is an asset, not an obstacle.
A high school diploma or GED is the baseline educational requirement. A four-year degree is not required — and will not give you any advantage over someone who brings work ethic and commitment.
This is not a classroom-only program. If you prefer doing over watching, working with your hands over sitting at a desk, and practical problems over theory-only instruction, this format is designed for you.
Bliss Global is headquartered in Roseland. We are intentionally building this workforce pipeline on the South Side. Residents of Roseland, Pullman, West Pullman, Englewood, Chatham, and surrounding neighborhoods are especially encouraged to apply.

Curriculum overview
The curriculum covers the full technical scope of HVAC work, from safety and trade mathematics through heating, cooling, refrigeration, piping, and professional skills. Every module is taught by an industry professional in a hands-on environment.
Training format
All instruction is in-person and hands-on. Students work directly with equipment, tools, and materials throughout the program — not just in a final lab component. The majority of the program is practical, not lecture-only.
Program schedule
Classes run Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. This is a full-time commitment. Students should plan their work and personal schedules accordingly before enrolling.

Credentials you'll earn
Every student who completes the Bliss Global HVAC program graduates with three industry-recognized credentials. These are not internal certificates — they are the same credentials required by employers and licensing authorities across the country.
The national standard for skilled trades training, used and recognized by HVAC contractors and mechanical employers across the United States. NCCER certification verifies your competency against a nationally defined benchmark — not just a local training program's internal standard.

We will give you everything you need to earn three industry credentials and enter a skilled trades career. In return, this program requires a real commitment. Here is what that looks like, clearly stated.
The program runs Monday through Friday. Missing class means missing hands-on instruction that cannot be replicated through notes or makeup sessions. Consistent attendance is one of the primary ways students demonstrate readiness for professional employment.
Classes run from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, five days a week. This schedule is designed to mirror the structure of professional employment. If you are currently working full-time, plan for how you will manage the transition before you enroll.
This is not a lecture-only program. Students work with equipment, tools, and materials throughout. Physical engagement with the material is how HVAC skills are actually built — and how you will be evaluated.
From your first day, you are treated as a working professional — not a student waiting for permission to be taken seriously. That means respectful communication, reliable follow-through, and conduct that reflects the standards employers actually expect.
Credentials are earned at the end of a completed program, not partway through it. We want every student who starts to finish. But completion requires sustained commitment — not just enthusiasm at enrollment. If you are not ready to commit to 8 months, wait until you are.
